I have been looking at the animoto.com service. They take a number of photos, mix in some music and add a number of sleek animations. The free service allows you to create 30 second ‘shorts’, but many more options are available for a fee including higher quality, downloads and business use. The output is great compared to a normal slideshow. Here is one I created from some photos I took in the Maldives when I went diving there.
It is very tempting to create a longer video with more of the photos and get it in DVD quality. This would make a great show for friends and family when they visit. There is nothing worse that being given a tour of the photo album which is why I always create music slideshows to play on TV. This is the next step!
